Med Maktab is a cross-platform medical education product delivering licensed question banks, textbooks, and related study tools through an installable client.
Information we may collect
- Account details such as name, email, and authentication credentials
- License and subscription status once payments are enabled
- Device identifiers needed to enforce device limits and secure offline cache
- Study progress, bookmarks, and similar in-app activity needed to sync your library
- Basic diagnostics and crash reports to keep the app reliable
- Contact-form messages you send voluntarily
How we use information
- Authenticate you and deliver entitled content
- Sync progress across your allowed devices
- Prevent unauthorized sharing of licensed materials
- Respond to support requests
- Improve product quality and security
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not place medical content behind a public browsable URL for anonymous scraping. This landing site currently uses no advertising trackers.
Cookies and this website
The Med Maktab marketing and downloader site is static. It may rely on essential browser storage only for UI preferences later. Third-party fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts; your browser requests those assets directly.
Data retention & security
Account and entitlement data will be retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterward as required for billing disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Content on devices is designed to use encrypted local storage where offline access is offered.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of account data by contacting privacy@medmaktab.com or using the contact form. Some records may be retained when we must do so for security or legal reasons.
Children
Med Maktab is intended for adult learners and medical trainees. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes
We will update this policy as the product, payments, and backend launch. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
